Why do people in Europe hate Americans?

Just found that there is a lot of negativity here towards Americans and was wondering...Is it misplaced hatred for the U.S. government or a real deep seeded disgust for the American people? Are we falling into stereotyping people? Havent we evolved past that yet? Cant we all just get along?

Life would be quite boring if we all just got along!
Anyway, why should everybody love the Americans? what have they ever done for us??!

@HydroSkater: We have been trying to distance ourselves from you guys for hundreds of years. Part of that process is making our OWN language. Get over it.

(If you do a little research, you will find that Spanish speaking countries in the New World don't speak anything like Spaniards, Brazilian is basically a different language than Portuguese, Canadians speak some antiquated form of French, and so on. It's all very normal and part of the process of breaking free of the Imperialist bastards, haha).
