Where to buy English-language children's books - Hamburg

I hesitated to subscribe to your forum, being a german mom of german kids - but it seems to me the best forum on the web for my questions. Hope you dont mind.
we relocated recently to Hamburg from India where my two kids (3+5) became bilingual English-German.
Back in a fully German environment, it is kind of difficult to keep their English alive. One practical question:

do you know of any suitable english speaking childrens library in town? or english corner? or english second hand book shop / flew market stand etc.?

In two months time, I have exhausted the english corner of my local Bücherhalle already...

Since there are branches scattered all over the city you can always browse the Hamburg library system's catalog online and order them for pickup at your local library. Costs €1.50 per book - cheaper than a bus ticket and you can order up to three at a time.

I remember being at this crazy food store once, with books too... alot of books. English books: British Foods Hamburg
Stresemannstr. 167-169 13-19 m-f and 10-15 sam- from what I gather from the pamphlet
Also there are bilingual kindergartens and schools in HH too. or simply go along to one of the TT family meetups, where your kids can speak english with the other kids. and the library should have books... even Bargteheides library has english books!!

Usbourne childrens English books for sale

Thank you to everybody who came along on Saturday and Sunday to the Victorian Christmas market and who visited us at our Usborne Children's Books stand. It was lovely to put faces to the TT usernames
Nisar and I really enjoyed ourselves, it was our first large event, so the experience was great. My feet are still killing me though!

If some of you didn't make it to the Christmas market over the weekend and would still like to buy some Usborne books before Christmas through us, please PM me - (I'm south of the river and Nisar is in the north!). Just to let you know that orders would need to be placed through us before tomorrow to ensure delivery in time for Christmas. You could also let us know for whom you would like to order a book (boy/girl, age, interests) and we would also be more than happy to send you on a list of books we still have in stock between us.

You can find a lot of English children's books on Ebay.

I used to buy my books in charity shops when I went home. I used to have boxes of books that Sarah could just go and help herself from. Unlike me, who would have to trudge to the public library and pray that there was an "Enid Blyton" book that I had not read, Sarah was treated to the whole series. Admittedly, a lot of her books were not in great nick.

Anyway, just saying that so that you might think ahead. If someone has lots of books just buy - for later.
