I have the freenet package with DSL and flatrate telephone. I've been using it for a long time to call my family in North America. Recently, i've started having an issue where there is a beeping sound when I pick it up (like a north american busy signal) and then when I dial a number, I get a much faster beeping. Yet, I can recieve calls just fine.
Does anyone have any clue what might be going on? It seems like the kind of thing that could be easily identified.

Everything's paid up, and since it's a package with internet, wouldn't they cut off the internet if there was an issue of that sort?

that's the funny thing with freenet. my friend once missed paying his bill, his phone was dead like yours right now but his internet was fine. i think they cut off the internet connection some time later and not right at the same time they cut off the phone line.
but i think as it's not the case, someone might have messed up the setting. u might have to re-set your phone line from the modem router freenet gave you. And by re-set i dont mean reboot but re-configuring the phone settings from the beginning.

Reset the router by unplugging it. The same thing happened to me last week. Fucking annoying it was and the router took like 5 minutes to reset.

Or go right to the correct source.. Freenet themselves. I'm sure they know all about their own system and how to help their customers
better than most people on TT.

I can't speak German to save my life yet, it's difficult to talk to support lines and stuff.
