Philips launch a range of vibrators

Marital aids going mainstream

Interesting to see that Philips have just launched their own vibrators. Will be for sale in Boots, Amazon etc.

Amusingly on their website under a section called "Relationship Care" which is just too PC for me.

They do one with "candlelights" included, and a dual set. Methinks they are trying just a bit too hard for middle-class acceptance, but that said,
I also think they will sell plenty!!

Is it just me or do they seem to be the wrong shape to do the business?
DDBug
It's just you. wink.gif They look fairly effective to me.

I reckon they will sell like hot cocks cakes.

I see they mention that its for both partners - how is a plastic rock going to do much for a bloke??? are you supposed to stick it up your arse or something??? looking at the shape of it I cant imagine it being a comfortable fit blink.gif

If that is the direction you normally opt for kicks then I guess so.

no its not!! I just dont reckon holding a vibrating pebble on your willy would be that exciting. Mildly ticklish, yes, but certainly not as much fun as it would be for the ladies

ROFL... my husband is a former Philips engineer, but I can honestly say that he did not 'invent' these. laugh.gif Can't wait to tell him...

"warm intimate vibrator"

Like, they have cold ones as well? Now that's kinky.

...and how is it I can buy something incredibly complicated like a DVD player for £20 from tescos, but a vibrating lump of plastic costs £90!!! surely the technology inside can't be that complicated?

though I suppose if it could play DVD's I might consider buying one

If you read the newspaper article, you will note that Philips are deliberately gouging the price upwards 'cos they are going for the "Giffen Goods" effect. Giffen good (Wikipedia)

The truth is you can buy something for 10% of the price that will also flick your switch, but Philips are attempting to make Mr. and Mrs. Home Counties feel that they are purchasing a quality item for personal massage and not one of those dirty vibrator thingies you hear about.

It comes with pretty little candles so can't be smutty.

p.s. Sarabyrd - actually the "warm" bit is significant 'cos unlike the cheaper units these things do actually heat up (according to the website blahhhhh)

The whole "designer upmarket" sex toys gig has been going on for some time:

The guy can go out and sexually expend all his energy on his goomah, come home, pretend they are having a hard time at work and hence cannot service the wife, but she can still get off, thanks to plastic rock or cock, and stay nice and relaxed, instead of getting frustrated and annoyed, and she is thus less likely to question the guy "working late" 4 nights a week.

Think more.

Goomah - my new word for the week.
