lost my chain when we went ice skating...went on wednesday to see if they have lost & found, was told they don't have a lost and found, then they go ohh it probabably got ground up into little pieces..hahaha, not funny

hey i went ice skating today (in england) i learnt how to fall over and hurt my ass. am really good at that now!

Anybody know a good place I can get my skates sharpened today (Wed., Jan. 5) before tomorrow evening's event?

Also, I'm a relative newbie and a bit shy at first (then, watch out! ). It would be good to see other newbies present, too...

TT Ice Skating Event #43

Winter is now here and most people are back from the holidays so it's...skating time again!! And no lame triple axel this time!!

Info as follows:

Date: Sunday January 9th, 2005
Place: Karlsplatz - Münchener Eiszauber (U5 Karlsplatz)
Admission: 3-5€
Skate Rental: 4€
Meet Time: 2pm

All levels are welcome as this is just a leisurely skate. We probably will get there around 2ish, skate for aboot 1hr or more depending on how people feel. If required, expert and personalized skating advice can be purchased for a reasonable price (i.e. 2-3 Glühwein) from me.

Final Note: Bring a piece of ID (Drivers license, Passport, or 30€ etc) if you want to rent skates.

They actually open at 7:30 again, so if you want some really nice ice you should all be there at this time.

Well I think I proved myself correct that I can indeed not skate for toffee, the Glühwein with Amaretto really hit the spot tho.
I now also have 2 tram line cuts on my head when Judders skated over me.

It's amazing how they managed to get on your head, like he tried jumping over you...oh, wait minute

yup! always better to have your own skates! a friend told me of a horrible report that's been on tv about rental skates and all kind of germs and bacteria they found in them - gross!!!

eww.. I always hated renting footwear... Thats the only thing I dislike about going bowling...

don't worry about bowling shoes! they said in this report, that those shoes were ok! got desinfected properly i guess!

maybe buy a big bottle of sagrotan when going skating/bowling and whatever involves rental shoes
