For enthusiasts of the
Moulton bicycle, there is a 60km ride for Moultons on 21st September around the Dachau area. Details are on the Birdy-Freunde
website, which advises that non-members are welcome, so I guess other folders such as Dahon, Brompton, and Birdy can participate. The top-of-the-range versions are the price of a new car so it will be interesting to see how many turn up.
For those not in the know, the Moulton 2 wheeler is the eponymous creation of Dr Alex Moulton, perhaps better known for his work on the hydrogas suspension employed on the original Mini plus later successor models. They are still hand-built to this day in Bradford on Avon, near
Bristle in the south west of England.
