As a financial journalist who covers mergers and acquisitions, I am open to suggestions about my job search. Logically, I would like to have a job lined up before I pack up and move to Munich next spring...any thoughts?

Hi, I would join www.xing.com which is a bit like LinkedIn but more German.
And, I would also actively use it, search down other financial journalists, post articles in appropriate forums etc.
A lot of people will ignore messages you send them but eventually it may pay off.
And, of course, do the general networking-thing.
