It is a pleasure for me to invite you all to the Sri Krishna Janmastami- a traditional Indian festival which is going to be celebrated in Munich (see the details below). If you want to have an indian festival experience then I kindly request you to visit the Krishna temple in munich. There are many events being oragnized. The festival contains the following events:
- Abishek ( Bathing the deities with ingredients like honey, fresh fruit juices, milk, butter, sanctified water etc)
- Jhulan ( It is a traditional swing in which the deities will be swinged.
- Every one can take a turn swinging the swing
- Auspicious chanting of Vedic mantras for purification
- Traditional live music
- Indian classical dance ( for info on classical dance see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bharatanatyam)
- Small theatre play
- Indian pure vegetarian food with nectarian drinks just for 5 Euro (free for children).
