I'm up for a game anytime, just need a place that can rent raquets etc.. and someone who knows the real rules! I've always just played with other sporty people who didn't know rules either and we just smashed the ball around and played with some loose guidelines.

Ok, so it is the new year, and I really plan to play squash now! If we could get 4 peeps together, we could get this happening. The place I was thinking about is RSC am Hirschgarten - München dunno if they have rental rackets... I have one to lend, skeebop... I could do an evening next week Wed through Fri... lets make it happen!

The RSC do rent rackets. That's where I used to play back in the day.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am looking for a squash partner but as I am living and working in the south/east outskirts of the city it's difficult to get into town to play in an evening after work.
Is there anyone in the Ottobrunn or surrounding area who fancies a game?? (Intermediate player)

@mrbobke : yep .. will be up to try next week to play squash in RSC. Wednesday will be ok for me. will need to rent a raquet

The Fitness Factory / Racket Sports Club (RSC) near the Hirschgarten.

Public means of transport: Tram 16/17 Steubenplatz. Get off at Steubenplatz and walk up Wilhelm-Hale-Str., first right after the Tankstelle (there's a sign pointing you there - it's a lane usually lined with parked cars with tall hedges on either side).

The tram takes about 10 minutes from Hauptbahnhof, and they run about every 5 minutes on the way there. It'll take you about 5 minutes to walk from the tramstop to the place.

I dont believe in re-inventing the wheel. I fall somewhere in between beginner to intermediate level of game. Would like to play at least 2-3 days a week later than 7.00 pm.

Are there any advanced players in TT?

Advanced means they probably played in the team for their local club, know a let, know when to concede a stroke, know what is dangerous play, etc etc.

Not talking about Club Number One or County/Regional player.

If so, then we play in the South West corner - Martinsried.

well well what i have been waiting for enough people to get into squash.

i am an advanced level player ohh used to be advanced

can play weekdays not tue & thu (deutsche class)! and also once on the weekend aint too bad.

I can go on any of the following days mon/wed/fri/sat/sun, from 1830h onwards.

it costs 10 euros for a half hour game (so 5 per person)

i would like to go at least 3 maybe 4 times. so lemme know...if you can come only once its OK i could book with someone else also

There should be a smokers league and then healthy lentil fit type league.

OK so here goes i got messages from the others and have sent PM's with contact numbers. Players availability are as follows:

Rus - weekdays
Richy - weekdays + weekends
Thedevilhimself - weekends + thursdays
Timmeh - ?
Heinrich - weekdays
arshoo - all days except tue/thu. thats when i have german classes

Me and Rus are planning to go tomorrow, should be there by about 7 pm latest, will send sms to richy to see whether he can also make it.

if we get confirmations beforehand i plan to make this a weekly thing so that we know who is playing/available when. could update it every sunday.

I am surely there on Saturdays and Sundays. If anyone else is interested Thursday is ok with me too.

I am a girl and play squash (badly). Not sure when I have time in the next few weeks, but if the weather is too bad to ski after work, then I could try to fit a game in. I live quite near the RSC place.

@Topsy , women are more than welcome to join, i could check out at the courts, there are quite a few who do come there to play.

@Bron, everyone says they play badly, thats not the point, we just want some good exercise and to play a game i think we enjoy.

the only thing TTers are good at is drinking (and some suck at that too!!) so no worries

and i'm a bit rubbish as well, but mega-competitive and enthusiastic

maybe we can get a group organised, I know of at least one other tt female who might be up for it
