Moving from Garmisch to the UK

Hi there

if any one could help with any information regarding how we can move contents of a small flat with only a few boxes and small furniture items to the UK. As we are having difficulty finding a rental company in Germany that will allow us to take a hired vehicle to the UK and bring it back or even drop it off in the UK. We were wanting to drive the van ourselves and not hire a removal company as we have a cat that needs to go with us on a certain route re: UK animal rules.

When my parents moved back to England my father flew back ro England hired a van there and drove back was no problem and he got a better deal than he would have over here

Hi Marnell, just a quick tip, when I moved here around 10 years ago (I also live near GAP) I used a removals firm that cost me thousands!!! and a clever friend of mine had a top idea...

Buy yourselves an OLD van
Get ADAC Europa cover for 30 Days
Pack it and drive back to the UK
Scrap it or resell it in Autotrader

It cost my buddy around 700 Euros almost a tenth of my removals costs!
