I'm moving to Wiesbaden next Tuesday, and I can't carry a lot over but I also wont have a lot of money first month.
I will have to buy some clothes in Wiesbaden when I come over, and can anyone suggest cheap departmental stores (like Primark or H&M in UK) where I can get some clothes?
Will also need to know the cheapest sports store in Wiesbaden.
Thanks a lot

There are H&M stores everywhere in Germany and I am sure there is at least one in Wiesbaden too.
As for sports shops what sort of sports gear are you looking for? There are none as cheap as JJB sports and Sports Soccer that I know of. Sometimes those places are good for basics - towels etc. But I am pretty serious about my sport and always prefer to invest a bit more for quality - even if it means I have to do laundry more often as only have 1 or 2 things.

Yeah, there's an H&M on Kirchgasse- actually I'd recommend browsing along Kirchgasse when you get here, as that's where the department stores are.

Thanks a lot,
The sports stuff is just for footy mainly with work. I shall have a look around when I get there.
Cheers.

C&A?
I stocked up on sports gear in their half price sale in a different town today.

If you want basic stuff like pants, socks & T shirts then try the Real hypermarket on Äppelallee (out of town).
Also as someone else said there is a H & M in the city centre.
Clothes are one of few things that are more expensive in Germany than the UK, especially trainers and jeans!

hi vijay,
i would say worthwhile jumping on a train and going to C and A, great for essentials, work shirts, socks, boxers etc, good quality and cheap! Not sure about one in Wiesbaden, but there is one near Konstablerwache Ubahn in Frankfurt.
I am also convinced the C and A over here is alot better than the C and A we used to get in UK.
cheers!
