Default language for FIFA Soccer 08 Xbox 360

I am no XBOX 360 expert, but really don't think this is my problem.

Bought FIFA 08 for junior on Saturday, but it boots up instantly into French. Even the opening images and text are French. Seems to be no way of changing the language in the settings.

This is purchased at full price from big kosher "Expert" store in Landsberg. All the main XBOX stuff seems to be in English and never had a problem before. The outer box AND the writing on the CD are all in German.

So went back to the store, and the "games" bloke is not there today, but they swapped for a brand new one. They could not test in store as they have no running demo XBOX.

Get home, junior is all excited, and same problem. Therefore either:

1. Dad is a numpty and missing some obvious settings?

2. Microsoft are incompetent arses and have copied the French version onto a batch of German CD's.

Any thoughts or comments from the masses?

Weired. I got a test copy and it was in French, thought it was just because it was a test copy.

All thr same as you've mentioned. Box, etc. all German. I packed it in because I couldn't figure how to change it!

Maybe the accidently fobbed you a test copy?

I saw some PS/2 threads about Fifa games being in French if you didn't select German. I blame that Platini bloke.
Maybe there's just no English on the disc, assuming you have English set on the Xbox.

Common 'problem'. Alot of games from EA are packaged in German and French it seems. If your system is not set to German, they default to French. No way to make it English. I've seen it in the past on the original xbox, and also on the 360 (burnout revenge being the case in point).

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh awesome Don. So I need to set the box to Kraut and then it will switch from French to Kraut.

It's fucked up, but I follow the logic.
