Midweek drinks/footy/MTB around Saarbrücken

Hello everyone,

I'm 29, recently taken a job which requires me to be in Saarbrucken during the week, Monday to Friday... Weekends I'll mainly be back in Cologne (though I only moved to Germany about 2 weeks ago, so don't know many people there either!)

Anyway, very keen to meet up with people who fancy the odd beer and a laugh.

Also, I'd be very keen to keep fit while in Saarbrucken, so joining a 5 a side team would be ideal. Otherwise, i'm very keen on a bit of mountain biking, will be bringing my bike to Saarbrucken during the week to go out for the odd apres-work, pre-pub (hopefully) cycle. If anyone doesn't mind me tagging along with them, that'd be great!

Hi from Mike in Moersbach near Zweibrucken, I moved here from Hampshire two years ago,(still can't do German) well only food and shoping.

If you have a special problem with the language, maybe my wife Elfriede can find the answer, she has a very good grasp of English.

I love it here in Germany, am sure you will to.

I moved to Saarbruecken about a year ago and -yes- I´d fancy the odd pint as well. Apparently most of my colleagues are living in the countryside, heading off home from work as quick as they possibly can...

About myself: I´m German, 42, engineer, father of two (they live with my ex-wife in Mannheim), currently following a biomass-to-energy project near Leeds which brings me to the UK every other week. Since I was born and raised in Cologne, I might have some useful info for a good night out there -with or without ending up totally blotto on Kölsch...
