If you left Germany, where would you go?

Which country, and why?

Change you attitute to positive and you like it anywhere. If you have enough money, go to Hawaii, weather is always nice (well almost always) there are Germans there too, but they never stay very long. Turnover of people is fast and you always find people to listen to you at the beach. Just don't get sick, there, you are on your own unless you have an insurance policy to look after you.

I just applied to a Nova Scotia Uni.... would be interesting to see no winters and what all the wind is about the rain during the storm season.

California, San Francisco Bay Area.

Perfect climate, beautiful coast, SF, Sierra Nevada, Napa Valley.

Bright lights, big cities. Munich will have a place in my heart forever, however I don't think that I will live the rest of my life here, and when I do leave, it'll have to be for a place which has more of a soul.

There was a book being run to see if I would actually return from New Zealand and New South Wales... I did, not entirely sure that was wise and I'd certainly be more than happy in Wellington or Sydney.
Both places suit me despite being pretty different, just felt completely at home: the landscape, the water, the attitude and humour of the people, cultural stuff and frankly the colours.

Still the same. Well, I'd consider outside of NSW too...
Think airlines know when it is cold and rainy - those are the days when the special offers on flights turn up in my in-box. *sigh*

Munich is a special place for me, but it isn't where I plan to retire. Sorry.

Munich is OK in the summer - but considering the temperature today, I would rather spend 8 month of the year in Florida.

I wanna go back to Barcelona. In fact, I wanna go back there very soon - but sadly, the job market there can only really be described as "utter pants".

This may sound weird, but I would love to like visit North Korea, that would be like a trip back in time! They call it the Stalinist theme park. I checked out it out on YouTube. Apparently for everyone that goes, gets personal guide and a chauffeur, who whisks you around the country for like 10 days.

Right now - somewhere warm with great women and one of the two languages I can speak - English and (less so) French. New Caledonia??

But, it's all part of the adventure!!!

Couldn't agree more! Counting the months till retirement - either in Namibia or South Africa... beautiful landscape, friendly people and if I should really miss Germany - there's always Swakopmund! Good beer too... Windhoek Lager (yummy!)

I would like to spend a few years in South America somewhere. Venezuela would be nice. I went for a visit last year and absolutely loved it there.
