Niederlassungserlaubnis for Indian citizens

Hi,

I want to apply for Niederlassungerlaubnis. what are the documents required and how many years one has to stay in Germany to get this ?
And also, if this is accepted, how many days they take to get the new status ?

One of our friend told that we have to fill and signed form of Arbeitgeberbestätigung and I don't find this doc in internet.
