Sites specific for apartment sharing foreigners

Hey guys,

Just a quick one. Looking to move to Germany soon and am looking into the whole flat share thing to help integrate me and to save on furniture!
But i'm not quite ready to be thrown in the deep end and live with Germans that don't speak English as my German needs a lot of improving.

I have found 5 or 6 sites that obviously deal with Flatshare but they are in German (which isn't a problem) and don't say whether the present occupants can speak English or mind English etc (why should they state these things I guess)

Anywho...is there a sight specifically aimed at maybe foreigners looking for other foreigners to flat share with? or Germans up for the idea of a foreigner living with them?
just think this would help me find something quicker.

If not then no worries
Thanks for your time.

If you have enough time to look around for a while, I'd recommend using the German WG websites to find a flatshare, and when contacting them ask if they speak English and/or say that you're looking to improve your German. How much German do you know (i.e. could you at least have a very basic conversation)? While it may be frustrating at first, you'll pick up the language much more quickly.

Another option is to put up a personal ad on one of the WG websites- that way people can contact you knowing your German is limited.

I think Germans are fine with living with a foreigner, the only problem that I noticed when I moved here is that they'd prefer to meet someone in person and show them around the apartment before they move in. Then again, that's not always the case, as I was able to coordinate moving into my WG over the phone.

Also- if you're looking for a furnished room, I'd highly recommend making sure they send you photos of your room so you know what you're getting yourself into.

Hope that helps...

There's no specific site that I know of. But you can check the classified adverts section right here on TT itself.
