The CSU has brought in new laws on public assemblies. Demonstrations will in future only be allowed to take place if it doesn't disturb anyone. I wonder if anyone on the great TT has anything to say about this? They claim it is aimed at quietting such groups as Neo Nazis.

The following quote and more information can be found in the Taz.de

QUOTE

Would be like Britain then..

Does that mean the Nazis will be able to stop CSD then?

I thought the whole point of assemblies IS to disturb at least someone. They might as well ban them altogether wacko.gif

This is very worrying in my opinion, I watched the Dresden thing in the Marienplatz a couple of years ago and there were loads of coppers (as usual) on hand to make sure the demo didn't get out of hand. I think that if people continue to allow the erosion of their civil liberties, the right to protest etc, then we are all sleep walking towards a democratic dictatorship.

We had some people in Stuttgart marching for world hunger or peace or something. They were shouting with a PA and banging on pots.

We had to wait to cross the street forever, so I would say they were a disturbance. Maybe they can be shut down next time if BW could pass such a law?
