Keydeck
As of this week I've been out of Ireland 10 years. Tempus fugit and all that mularky. I was only supposed to be gone for 3 months. HR manager in Esat Digifone at the time said, "If you take that contract you'll never get a permanent job again". Looking back over the last decade I think, eh ok, suits me.

10 years, 3 countries, 4 cities, 3 companies, 3 cars, 2 serious illnesses, 1 engagement, 73000 cigarettes, 9 apartments, no regrets.

What do your quick-stats look like since you left your homeland?

Not enough fingers or toes.

Does it show I work in stats?

@adrainlondon,
Well admittedly the topic title and first post are a bit confusing. Most people are summing up what hey have done in the last decade but keydeck asks at the end of the post what your stats are since leaving your homeland. So which should I post , my last 10 years or the 8 years since leaving Ireland?

I would have done it the same as BlueDave
clrbluesky
10 years, 3 countries, 3 states, 7 schools, 9 dorm rooms, 1 apartment, 1 serious illness, 7 sports, 3 languages attempted, 3 jobs, 8 new family members, way too many hours spent on Facebook...
DDBug
Since I first left - gasp 19 years. Basically I've reached a half life here. Shit, that's scary. Thanks for depressing me, keydeck. laugh.gif

1 country, 2 cities, 4 flats, 4 real relationships, 4 longer term dating attempts, 6 flatmates (though one brought his entire extended Irish "family" (friends) to camp in my living room for a few weeks), 1 marriage, 1 divorce, 2 kids, 2 cats, 2 jobs, 1 career, 2 cars, 0 property, 3 continents and 21 countries visited.

In the last 10 years: 1 divorce, 1 of the kids, 2 cats, 1 career, 1 car. 15 countries visited. Oh, and I quit smoking. (Never thought that would happen)
Renia

Do whichever you fancy. It's just for fun, there won't be marks handed out afterwards.

HellesAngel
Left Denmark, where I was living, got pissed off with Duesseldorf (which seems remarkably easy to do) and moved to Munich. The next seven years here passed enjoying the easy life of beer, wine, food, mountains, lots of work that was challenging, rewarding and fun, and as much sport as I could manage. Then I met Mrs. Angel and after a half year long trip to India we got married. Now enjoying married life in Bavaria, and beer, wine, food, mountains, work and sport...

Edit: So in numbers that would be 4 cities, 3 countries, 2 cars, 1 wife, 1 flat, more beer than I can count, several hundred thousand air miles and over two thousand TT posts wink.gif
SleeplessInMunich
Since leaving Ireland:
8 years, 1 country, 1 city, 3 companies, 2 kids, 1 flat (soon to be 2 hopefully), 1 car, 1 haircut, about 10kg+, 80 quizzes as quizmaster, 3 baseball caps and loads of grey hairs! biggrin.gif

RMA
38 years, 10 countries (Edit: 11 - forgot the UK! wacko.gif ), goodness knows how many cities/towns, 4 jobs, 14 years self-employed (of that 6 years de facto unemployed!), one long term GF, 1 wife (not the same person!), 7 motorbikes, ~11 cars, 6 houses, 1 flat, no serious illness thank God! 2 languages fluent, 3 enough to get by and do the job ("no problem" in 11 languages)

Last 10 years, 1 country, 4 towns, 2 jobs, still married!, 2 houses, 3 cars, 0 motorbikes sad.gif ("no problem" down to 4 languages sad.gif )

What do your quick-stats look like since you left your homeland?

I had similar thoughts this morning. I was going to write something about my life in numbers. This thread is very interesting and entertaining to read, thanks for posting it.

(I will come back to add my summary when I have some more time later today, hopefully...)

I have no idea what's happened to that dream, cos there's really nothing left here to stop me. It's just a thought, only a thought.
SleeplessInMunich
