I have searched for this and was very surprised to have found absolutely nothing on this awesome festival.

For those of you who have never heard of it, here is a bit of background...

- It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe, taking place on the Island called Óbudai-sziget in Budapest from 12th - 18th August
- It has been held every August since 1993, when the attendance was a mere 43,000
- Now it sees close to 400,000 party-people turn up for the week-long festivities
- It boasts several large acts as well as literally hundreds of lesser known bands, DJs or single artists.
- It is popular with western Europeans. Around 50% of visitors come from outside Hungary, with the largest group coming from Germany. Many also come from the UK, France, Italy and The Netherlands.
- In addition to music, the festival offers a plethora of other activities including cinema, dance, theatre, tattooing, Internet access, volleyball, tennis, football, bungee jumping and a life-sized foosball.

The main acts this year include REM, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks, Pendulum, The Sex Pistols, Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox, The Killers & Jamiroquai!

If this has inspired anyone to go, you can find all details here: http://www.sziget.hu/festival_english

There are still tickets left you can chose from single day tickets, weekly camping tickets or, for a little extra, you can even take your own campervan inside!

Hope to see some of you there...
