Hi all,

Back from vacation and now my shower head has gone on the fritz and is spraying water all over the place, except efficiently on me :-/ Probably due to calcification, but it's past due to be replaced anyway. So... I'm looking for useful suggestions on good name brands to look for in this regard. Also, I'm assuming the attachment is standard, but if not, any tips regarding compatibility would be nice.

Danke!

1. Remove faulty shower head
2. Go to hardware store
3. Select shower head that you like, double checking that the fitting is the same
4. Purchase shower head

Are we really heading for a discussion on the relative merits of shower heads?

Male answer: One that dumps lots of water on his head, perhaps with a couple of settings...cuz men like settings.
Female answer: One that dumps lots of water on her head, perhaps with a couple of settings...cuz one of them is bound to be good for getting her off.

Bauhaus on Landsbergerstr have lots and lots to choose from.

if you have limescale plugging some of the holes, creating the spray, get a pin and clear the holes. or just buy a new one =]

If you want to pay less than 20 euro, go to Praktiker and get a GROHE shower head. Grohe is good quality, lasts 5 years at least. If you want to pay more than 50 euro and are in Munich, go to Kustermann (at Viktualienmarkt), anything they sell you there will be alright.

And if you want to spend even less, take the shower head and dump it in vinegar for a day - it'll be as good as new.
