for gaming I have amazing latency with Deutsche Telekom + Fastpath (costs 1€ extra per month). It is one of the more expensive providers, but seems good to me :-)
As an example, I get 11ms on World of Warcraft(EU Server), and usually about 15-20ms on Counterstrike inside Germany, or about 20-30ms in other parts of Europe.

Doesn't the army have its own special deals/specific provider? At least I am sure that used to be the case many years ago for the bases near Frankfurt.

yes there is one, Jay, but its a plan of either 20 or 60 MBps and im not sure if that is good. Prices are too high.
Elfenstar i ask locals for the best so i wont take a fail. I know not much about this.
Kätzchen i, in a matter of fact, am a hardcore CS:S gamer. in my case i need to ping back to the states.

expect high (150 at best I would say) latency to stateside servers, no matter which public provider you choose. If you pm me a server address over there I can try css out tonight and let you know what the latency is.
