Can't believe I am saying this, but you must try the beta version of Internet Explorer 8 - it is blindingly fast (well compared to IE7 and Firefox - don't know about others).

Massive improvement in speed and uses ClearType fonts too.

I think it is unsing some new web standards that some sites are not using, but no issues with TT site and my other favourites.

No doubt there will be some who view this as some kind of dark force software, but try it

But actually it says it is not compatible with my system even though I do have XP SP2. Oh well...

Ah, you'll need to spend several hundred euro more on a new CPU and a lot more memory. This is Microsoft you know, they don't create nice software for you to run on just any cheap old crap...

The UI's still an incomprehensible mess.

Good thing I have a laptop with warranty on it, that way I am not tempted to do that (and lose the warranty).

Great.. now you'll have to test your web app in three versions of this pathetic browser (all of which will no doubt display something different).. honestly people, swap to Firefox (version 3 is very quick).

I've developed primarily for IE for years now, but I am not touching this IE8 beta. I've had enough.

IE 7 was the last straw for me tbh. I personally will not touch anything IE related.
