Its comparison shopping!
Want forgiveness - you know where to go.
Want some smiting of the heathens - you know where to go..
You want to live without enough toilet paper - by one of those puppies...

Hopefully they can run the message in some other places. Maybe they should analyse where most of the donations have come from and run some in those cities too.

Will they also run a "There's probably no Allah. Now stop worrying and get on with your life." bus campaign?

By "God" I believe they are referring to all invisible sky giants, not just the one from Christianity.

Memebers news update from the British Humanist Association who are administrators of the project....
The wheels on the bus go round and round and round and round!
The Atheist Bus Campaign is driving along at full tilt. Donations are pouring in, as are the phone calls from newspapers, sales pitches from ad agencies, and emails from everyone who’s ever had a worldview!
As always, we want and expect feedback especially from our members and supporters. Every policy decision and campaign announcement receives some praise and some criticism. There are two things that are special about the feedback on this campaign (both from the public and from our members and supporters). First is how much of it there is! Second is that it is overwhelmingly positive.
Of course there are always some critical comments. There have been numerous suggestions for changes to the wording, major and minor. We appreciate all this feedback, but there would never, ever be a slogan which everyone would be entirely happy with, and everyone who has their own ideas seems to feel that their modification is the only one that would need to be made! One person offers an idea because they think we should be less “presumptious”, another suggests that the slogan is already too “soft”! One person says they’re agnostic and it’s too atheistic, another says that “probably” isn’t sure enough of itself! So, in reality, we have hopefully found a balance between the possible “routes” that this bus could have taken, and it’s reassuring that despite a handful of criticisms of the negative beginning to the statement (“There’s probably no God”) the overall message is laidback, positive, and refreshing.
More than half the number of members who join the BHA in a usual month, joined in a single day between Tuesday and Wednesday! It seems that, quibbles aside, Ariane’s advert has tapped into an undercurrent of thought which wants to shrug in the face of religious slogans.
Thank you for all your support.

Not sure where you are coming from. Id be interested to hear you clarify what you mean? There is nothing in the ad to suggest which god they ARE talking about let alone which god they are NOT talking about. Why do you therefore choose Allah? Do Muslims not also refer to their god as "God"?
Since the god they are referring to is not actually indicated you could just as easily have posted "there's probably no Jehovah..."

Anything that will run off with bog paper just as you need it deserves all it gets...
As per the old story...
Q - What do you get when you cross a Labrador/Golden Retriever with a Rottweiler?
A - A dog that scares the shit out of you, then runs off with the bog paper.

The master mind behind the project has a nice thank you here and an explanation of what will be done with the vast amount of too much money they got:

actually, Allah,God or Yehova, they are all the same as they are the different names of the "creator of everything"
so if atheists succeed in this company, it will be an interesting show against all those 3 main religions.
sorry but why is there a need for such a bus?
why dont people live their believes inside and prefer to show it everyone?
as long as you dont violate the human rights and the laws, why does it matter so much?

because all 3 of those religions use every opportunity to blast their propaganda everywhere. Atheists, by dint of being a raggle taggle with no organisation behind them, rarely do.
Personally I think it is refreshing and healthy to see this happen as it restores a little balance don't you think?

u have a point right.
i just hope, those fanatics (of those 3 religions) who have a narrow point of view against the ones "who dont think and believe like them" will not violate this and cause chaos, fight whatever..

If indeed, some idiots decided to cause chaos, it would just highlight the cause further.
In "the salmon of Doubt", Douglas Adams describes himself as a "radical Athiest". By this he means that he is not just "a bit thinking that god doesnt exist, but might change his mind to agnostic at any minute", but "utterly and categorically stating that there is no such thing and he wont be going into any such silly questions." or something like that.
Have you ever heard of a militant athiest?

I prefer to quote the poet Homer J. Simpson " Why cannot I just be able worship god the way I choose and thats on my death bed? "

Sure, the money could be spent on third world causes. So could the money we spend on fireworks, skiing, beer, coffee, computer games, art galleries, museums, moisturizer, curly fries, TV, books, tasteful pictures of nekkid women and anything else that's not necessary for survival.
But there's more to life than survival. In this case, demonstrating to other doubters that they're not alone. The economic cost of this (600 sheets of paper) may just about be worth it.
