My trusty xbox packed it in and I have to send it back. I've to head away tomorrow for 2 weeks so I need to do this today. I got emailed UPS labels and I can either organise a pickup or a drop off. On the UPS site they have a list with 2 places that show Drop-off times and then a few other places that fall under "Mail Boxes etc". One of these just happens to be 5 mins down the road from me.
What exactly are these and how do they work? Are there automated or is it an office with someone working in there?

In the US, Mail Boxes etc. is a postal/shipping company. Maybe They have stores over here..
The closest thing to automation you'll getr in Germany is Deutsche Posts Packstation. I haven't
seen any Automatic drop off boxes for anybody else.

Went through the same thing when my xbox packed in last year.
Just printed out the sheet, stuck it on the box, went to the office and gave it to the guy. 3 weeks later xbox goodness again.
So the one I went to was not automated, just like a shop that also acts as a collection point.

Cheers, after a bit of searching I see that "Mail Boxes etc" is actually the name of a company that have partnered with UPS. What a rubbish name for a company!

Mail Boxes Etc. has been around since 1980, and seems the be doing well for itself so I guess the name works.
MBE is actually owned by UPS..

Very new here sorry if this is a repeat but I could really use some help. I have some software to return to a company in the US, it cost me $500 and I stand to get that refunded but I need to mail them the 5 CD's. Where is UPS or Mailboxes etc near Munich? How can I track or insure the package without paying customs or other tariffs on it? Thank you for advice. Best. Alexandra.
