I dunno if they are lads, lassies, or what. All's I know is that the teacher is female and her name is Belinda (shortened to Bels).
They'll be here around the 10th of June or thereabouts.

Excellent! Nice to know I have people to cook for. Our dream is to have a small pub here in Munich with good Mexican food like Tila's on shepherd. I grew up in Houston. yes, the weather is hot & humid, but the open friendly people make up for the nasty weather. I miss skating over to the W. Alabama Ice House for a cold brew before open mic at the Laff Stop and a game of fooseball at Sherlocks after the show. I miss Berryhill's fish tacos. I want to return to Texas one day but I'm thinkin' Austin. I like to start my day by being pulled behind a boat on a piece of graphite, YippEEE! I don't snow ski, but I water ski better than I walk. for those of you from Houston, Comedian, Jim Patterson passed away last week. He was one of the original boys from the Comedy Workshop, he started out there with Kinnison & Hicks. He had been ill for a long time. If you would like more information, send me an mail.

You tell me when you're cooking and I'll be there! Butterbean and I were talking about having a Mexican food dinner-party which would be awesome. I was in Houston last week and I'm going through Tex-Mex withdrawl!
Agree on Austin. GREAT city.
IF you have a choice definitely go for Austin!
I thought I read on a different thread about an upcoming Mexican food shindig somewhere...can't remember the thread...Anyhoo, I am having serious tex-mex withdrawals...I need some real chips and salsa dagnabit... oh and fajitas with fresh flour tortillas, grilled veggies, guacamole, monterrey jack cheese and SOUR cream...

Yippeee! I have found Tex Mex guinea pigs. I'm playing with some traditional Bavarian Dishes with a Southern Accent. I served roasted habanero pepper obazda last week and must say it was good. No I mean it, really good. I surprised even myself.
I will have to make out some night to meet the Toytown gang. I am too old for supper club stuff (recently celebrated the 21st anniversary of my 21st birthday) anyhoo; age is simply a state of mind.
Keep me informed of the bbq plans. Have spice, will travel
BTW you can get jalapenos and habanero pepper at the Viktualienma

That is a great idea-- I like Bavarian food but it grows tiresome for lack of variation. Now if you could only manage to work more fresh vegetables in, but please not just spargel!

Fresh cilantro -- check the Asian markets, they've always got it in the fridge section and you can get it in jars there too.
And it grows well on a Munich balcony in summer -- or on a windowsill. Called Koriander, takes 6-8 weeks, but so nice.
I'll be darned! I'm from Texas too! (from Georgetown, north of Austin)
Can't believe all of you
actually exist.
What are we doing here on Planet Mars??? I've been here
for many a moon, and have become virtually brainwashed
so it's good to know ya'll are out there. Hang in there!

Georgetown? I always get speeding tickets there when I drive down to Austin from Dallas! Nice courthouse though! Anyways I'll be moving to Munich here come January for about a year, I was wondering if anybody could recommend a certain area to look into for apartments in a more upbeat, youthful area for a 23 year old...
