Feng shui and the bagua map advice

Help with furnishing an apartment

Well, I've been reading stuff about this bagua map and Feng Shui principles and I am having a hard time figuring out where to put that huge bookshelf of mine in this flat. Not only the bookshelf, but other things, too. I mean, I somehow think it would normally belong to the section "knowledge" but that section keeps moving around, depending on how one looks at it.

Here's a link: Feng shui bagua map

What should I do. Apply that map on the whole apartment or only on the room?

Because these special areas keep moving around the corners of the flat, depending on how you project the map on the flat's shape. For example, the section "love and relationships" is in the right upper corner, on the balcony when the bagua is applied on the room. But then again it suddenly moves right into my shower when applied to the flat! Headache.

I already filled the shower with heart shaped candles and pink ribbons and stuff... but I am really getting confused.

Is there anyone who knows whether that map should be projected on the whole flat or on the room, or maybe, both? And if both, which comes first, which has the higher priority?

Yawn. I agree. This is a boring topic, I know. laugh.gif

Since I am not selling or buying anything here, it is boring. So, obviously, nobody sais a word. All right, forget it. Nevermind.

You guys will face this problem once in the future, too, with the bagua map. Just wait and see! It will be my turn to yawn and click away to some more interesting topic, then, ha-ha!

Well, she still hasn't found the right place for the bookshelf. Because nobody says a word and I can't figure out where to put "knowledge". Sigh.
It is almost 8 p.m. No bookshelf placement today. Nevertheless, I mixed a good self-made coctail and am really enjoying this messed-up Feng Shui view of my room.

Nobody replied because nobody is camped out on Toytown on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, except for some sad new ager who can't figure out how to arrange their furniture. Here's a suggestion. Arrange it in such a way as is aesthetically pleasing to you, this will be of much greater benefit to your psychology than some scam from the orient that was developed to create jobs for interior designers "in the know".

Isn't Feng Shui the Asian art of fooling the Westerners into thinking that Asians know more?

Seems you've been paying too much attention.

And for that you need a map?

Hi!
You can use a compass (which i think is the complicated method) or for easy feng shui-
The bagua is placed in the way so the career/life path is placed over your front door of the house/apartment
You can also apply feng shui to each individual room, on the front door of the actual room!
let me know if you need any more help wink.gif

1st priority would be the overall house (if your love/romance is in the bathroom, add pink, hearts, red etc) then move onto each individual room (2 pink or red candles in the living rooms "romance" section)

I agree. You could also get some squared paper and draw the outline of the room you want to put the furniture in, with doors marked. Take another sheet of paper and cut out squares/rectangles, etc. to more or less the scale of each piece of furniture and move them around on the paper to see which arrangement would work best.

Usually, people I know hire a Feng Shui master to come and evaluate their flat at a cost of maybe 500-1000 euro, then you have to follow everything he says. It's usually a he. Including painting walls blue, and maybe knocking walls down and putting the kitchen in the bathroom and stuff like that,.

T'is all about getting the ying and yang in balance.

I know a few Feng Shui masters who would be happy to come and evaluate your flat, so long as you meet their fee and travel expenses.
