Bachelorette and hen parties in Frankfurt

Ideas for a night out, nightclubs etc.

Again, another bachelorette party, this time the brides-to-be have chosen a night out in Frankfurt (they live in Heidelberg). I was wondering if you FFM folks had some ideas where we could go, what to do. For some background info, they want to start out at a spa, getting facials, pedicures, massages, whatever (we're planning about half a day doing this, each bachelorette picking and choosing what they want - I might not even participate in this part). They've chosen to do this in Speyer, unless anyone has any ideas in Frankfurt, then we would all drive up to Frankfurt, check into a hotel and begin the festivities.

We'd like to go out to dinner then to a club. I think tapas would be great (I'll be with a lot of Asian gals, so nothing Thai, Chinese, etc.) - something where we could all share dishes, have a wide variety to sample.

I've been to the King Kamehameha club - but I know there are other alternatives out there. I'd be grateful for any tips.

Hmm, I did say in the hotels thread that I was going to comment, so, for what it's worth...

Dinner: Is this going to be one of those "loud music, lots of alcohol" type of hen-nights? Or are you going for something a little quieter, sort of sit-down, cheeky bottle-of-wine vibe? At weekends, I've seen a number of (German) hen parties running riot in the Sachsenhausen Äbbelwoi taverns. Otherwise, uh... Destino's? Cantina Mescal? You'll probably want to pick some place either around the Bergerstr or in Sachsenhausen.

Clubs: KingKa is a good, strong choice. I'd recommend having a back-up though, because Frankfurt, inexplicably (at least to me), can blow hot-and-cold. Is this going to be a summer or a winter night?

It's a shame they have already picked a spa place - At the Walther Von Kromberg Platz (Sachsenhausen, Main Plaza) there is a great spa which is behind a superb Tapas bar (Leon Garcias). From there you are a short hop from wherever you want to head. They are just on the river and in superb locations.

I personally find KingKa to be a little too pretentious, but *meh*. You could also look at the Cocoon Club...

It won't be a rowdy get-together, that is for sure, but it will not be a boring sit around, quiet kind of thing. Just 6 or 7 gals having a good GNO. This will be early August. I hope for good weather.
