Admission on tourist visa if staying over 90 days

Return flight in 93 days, will Germany let me in?

Hello Everyone. I am new here, found this place on google and thought it might help me with a question or two I have. I just bought a ticket to Munich for the fall, with a return in the spring. The problem is, I messed up on the math and now I have a 93 day stay. I am terrified that they won't let me in, or won't let me leave if I don't get a visa, but its very out of the way to go to the consulate. The reason I am going there, is my fiance is stationed in Germany, and after he returns from his tour, we are planning to get married there, and then run around Europe sight seeing on the weekends, and I will be returning home shortly before he gets his orders to move back state side. I saw that I can apply for a residence permit after I get there, but since I am not going to work, I don't have a letter from my employer, and things such as that. Is there any way I can get into Germany, stay for 93 days, and come back home without running into any problems. This whole issue is keeping me from sleeping. I called the airline, and to change my date to meet the 90 day deadline would cost $250 USD. Any help would be great!

I don't know if this would help any or not, but I am also a US Service member. I thought maybe they can work something out around that...anyone been in my shoes before? lol

I am sure they won't make a fuss about 3 days but if you want to have peace of mind spend 3 days in a non-Schengen European country during your stay and you will be fine. A Schengen visa allows you a total of 90 days in any 180 days, so as long as you don't plan on coming back within the next 90 days, you should be fine.

With that being said, which is the closest to bavaria? lol

Just to make sure Im getting this, does this mean you only can stay 3 days after the 90 or what?
Lets say you stay for 1 week or (97) days what can happend to a US citizen?
Are there any consequences?

Regardless of your nationality, they will take you out back and shoot you in the kneecaps.

Your airline will likely flag your itinerary for review by an airline agent. When they look in the Timatic IATA travel requirements database, they will see that you can apply for a residence permit after arrival.

Staying 93 days in Schengen is indeed illegal under a tourist visa waiver, and though it may be unlikely that you'd get in trouble, I'd spend some time in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, or other non-Schengen countries. (Switzerland will be joining soon, but as of right now, they are not in the Schengen area.)
