Gallery photos of people who never post

I'm a bit puzzled by people who sign up for Toytown and then almost instantly put up pictures of themselves in the gallery. And occassionally will update their photo albums on here, but never ever post anything... I'm not sure what to think of it. Part of me finds it kinda creepy.

Why do they do that? I've always thought of the photo gallery on TT as a place I would put pictures I've taken at TT events-- or of pictures that might actually be of interest to other TTers.

One example (not intentionally singling her out, but it's the first example I found) The pictures are... all the same really. Yes, Carrie05, you are very pretty. Is there anything else you're interested in besides yourself that you'd like to show us? Jebus. It confuses me.

It seems to me we might have had this discussion before, but I did a search and can't find it.

Yeah, but sometimes it's only one or two photos. I don't get it either, especially when they never post. Not all of them are even good-looking! Tsk.

Might just be a cheap/easy way of getting photos up for linking to elsewhere - like Flickr basically? Making use of the bandwidth basically.

Now Tiggi, if you start imposing minimum eye-candy requirements TT would be decimated...

I suppose TT is an easy place to park pictures-- then again there are loads of online photo albums websites ou there (free of charge, etc) which are specifically set up for people to park their pictures on...

I park all mine in my photo albums on Facebook.

I wonder how many PMs Carrie got. That's probably why she hasn't been posting, actually - account imploded under the strain.

Yeah, but parking your photos on Facebook makes sense to me. Putting pics up on Myspace-- also makes sense to me.

It's because some newcomers don't understand what kind of social networking website TT is.

They're mistaking this place for yet another site in the ilk of MySpace, Facebook, hi5, and so on.

They don't realise that TT is primarily a chat forum, not a place to share your personal profile.

Vanity photos from newcomers are routinely deleted. Carrie's can stay though because she's young, female, and cute.

I do wonder if the ladies here would have less of a problem with her if she was a hot guy?

If I looked like that I'd be parking my pictures all over TT too

Apparently Carrie05 is looking for a job as an Au pair.

I have a sudden desire to have children.

She is a hottie. But probably got bad breath or summat nasty.

Edit: Actually I just looked again, and she seems to have some kinda muscle spasm when photos are taken that causes her limbs to stick out at funny angles when the shutter clicks.
