What is a good source for distilled water as close to the FF
HBF as possible? I just got a pair of venus fly traps and am told from many sources not to use tap water or mineral water of any kind. And rain water is a little hard to come by at the moment

Can't you just use the distilled water to put in the iron? You can get that in Schlecker or any Drogerie or big supermarket.

Isn't distilled water just water that has been boiled?

Water is usually distilled by boiling it... but it's the vapor that the distilled part. As you boil the water, the vapor that escapes is pretty pure, and it leaves the minerals behind in the water that's still boiling. So, you're sort of right, in that distilled water is just water that's been boiled. But it's not the water that's left in the pot, it's the water that's gone. So if you take a pot of water, and boil it, you're left with water that's even less distilled than before. With a little effort, you could probably make your own distilled water by having some sort of tilted plate above the boiling pot to catch the vapor, but it's probably not worth it.

Laundry dryers (condensers) should produce plenty of distilled water. Am I missing something?

To be honest Turbo Cider would be a more practical alternative than what I believe you are suggesting I get up to.
