Hi all just joined but been over for a month or so. Still looking for work but thats another story.

When coming over I met two girls on the plane that said there is a relatively new club in Munich that plays fast/hard dance music called Reganzitour (something like this anyway - obviously the spelling aint anywhere near correct but thats how it sounded)

If anyone knows will be eternally grateful. well maybe not but u might get a pint or two from me if i ever meet ya. Yeah i know! a scot buying a beer for someone not themselves ohmy.gif

Registratur in the Blümenstr near Sendlinger Tor ??

They have diffent club nights.
Some good, some shite, depending on your taste.

excellent, wasnt expecting anyone to have heard of it. cheers. is that fairly central or what? really looking for decent techno and/or hard house clubs, whats good/best? Have become friends with the people that set up "moonboots records" but they only release tunes and do special nights and they're in Augsburg.

Techno and hard house ain't my cup of tea but I think I heard from a TT person I know that she went to a techno night there. I'm sure they'll have a web site. Depending on your tastes you might find it better to look for club nights or regular parties rather than just one club that plays your stuff all the time.

I was supposed to be going on a date there tomorrow (electro, indie night) but I'm ill. sad.gif

Registratur is VERY central, 5 minutes walk from Sendlinger Tor station so you can get night bus etc home if you're too skint (or mean wink.gif ) for a taxi.

Have fun in Munich! cool.gif

i'm not really a hard house or bangin techno fan either but registratur has some shows along those lines... check out funky kitchen, garden club and phosphor as well

for great breakbeats this friday the stanton warriors are @ the garden club
Izabella
oh yeah... Club 4 Afterhours and Harry Klein have some good electronica music shows regularly as well
Izabella
oh... and how could i forget badeanstalt on leopoldstrasse which regularly pulls in the big bad guys

chris liebing has a quarterly residency @ electric delicate club... one of the best nights out musically & more on the harder techno bent. richard bartz will be doing a live set opening for house god tobi neumann on the 18th of december there.

worth going to see every single time is dj hell @ the registratur the first thurs of every month.

best bet is to keep an eye on this board's going out- munich nightlife and Toytown events sections, world league, nachtagenten and partysan for a list of almost all upcoming electronica events in and around munich

have fun out there!

I been in Munich 12 years SG ohmy.gif and only just started here on TT.

There's plenty of meet ups: curry nights, pub quiz, cinema, sports, BBQ, skiing, concerts, local meet ups etc etc

I'll shamelessly plug the: Neuhausen Noel Night Out

Oh yeah and if you are watching the pennies, there are plenty of cheap or free things during the week and pints to be had for under € 3 ! smile.gif

Appreciated mate thanks. Are most TT people generally travellers crashing in Munich for a few months or mainly ex-pat workers living in Munich? Found often these two groups clash, is the ex-pat community fairly friendly in Munich?
Elfenstar
yes & no,
i think so
no tongue.gif

get some sleep.

I've been here 12 years now. Came over with a rucksack. Got a lucky break when I was below my last €25 which back then could have got me on the bus back to London.

I mopped floors, cleaned drains, worked a call desk, pulled pints.
I have / had BIG differences with the late 90s crew who got re-located here on mega salaries, had it handed to them on a plate and think that paying under € 3 for a pint is common.

But generally, it's take as you find. See you for a pint some time.

yeah that looks to be my level as its the old brit way(15yr ago) over here still , needing certificates for everything. used to work in IT in scotland but never needed to get certified. means i cant get shit all here. so looks like its back to being a dish pig or equally manual/menial work. ho-hum! dry.gif

pint sounds good mate, will take u up on that sometime smile.gif
