English Drama Group presents "Pride and Prejudice"

Hi Everyone,

I would like to cordially ínvite you to a performance by The English Drama Group entitled 'Pride and Prejudice' (A Romantic Comedy by Jane Austen).

The performance will take place on the following days:

Tuesday July 1, Thursday July 3, Monday July 7, Tuesday July 8, Thursday July 10, Friday July 11

Time: 7 pm prompt on each day

Venue: HS E03 VG, Schellingstr. 3

Directions: Take the underground line U3 (Direction: Olympiazentrum) or U6 (Direction: Garching-Forschungszentrum) to the stop "Universität". Leave the underground at the stairways "Schellingstraße" and turn right into Schellingstraße. Cross to the opposite side of the street and you will find the building between Anglia English Bookshop and Universitäts-Buchhandlung Rupprecht.

Tickets are available in the foyer of the building from 12 noon to 2 pm and costs 5 Euros only.

The English Drama Group

The Drama Group of the English Department of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München stages a play for a few days at the end of the summer semester. The actors are students residing in Munich, the director is an English lecturer of the English Department. The performances are very popular and well known for the students' commitment and enthusiasm, lively acting and the good choice of plays.

Yes , tickets are available at the door up until the play starts at 7 pm. So please do come even if you are unable to buy a ticket between 12 - 2 pm.

Me too! When do the rest of you have time for this? I am not available Thursday 10 July but free on the other dates.

@RHStep & sarabyrd: did you go yesterday? How was it? I didn't see this "meet" earlier so does anyone want to go together tonight or Thurs night by any chance??

Frigging time difference to the East Coast! Even if I hadn't remembered that my boarder was arriving yesterday I would not have made it as I got an urgent translation through at 5.30pm. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I went last night.

The script was a revised version of the book.. several characters eliminated and scenes/locations changed. This is all mentioned in the program you get when you buy the ticket.

I thought it was a very good student performance. Some actors were better than others, but all did well with their English. Some of the cast rotates, so you won't see all the same actors tonight that I saw last night.

I would guess that the hall holds 200 and it was 75% full, so they got a good turn out.

If you like P&P I think you will like this play.
