Is there someone "important" in Munich right now?

I work right next to the Bayerischer Hof on Promenadeplatz, and yesterday there was a big police escort clearing the road for some big black SUVs and a large bus (tour-style). Someone got out of the SUV that people seemed to be scurrying around, but I couldn't see who it was. (May have been a woman? Not sure.)

Now this morning there are police everywhere again, and the big black vans and bus are also there.

Any ideas?

I was in the roof top bar last night and wife noticed this as well. Maybe some bigwig is staying.

Maybe they noticed that I was in town!

Definitely something up. I was in that area yesterday and there were plain clothes police (so obvious it must be embarrassing for them) people watching on the opposite side of the street...

And yet no one knows who... how mysterious. It wouldn't be a celebrity with a police escort, has to be someone political.

They must know I might come and meet you from work.
