Hi! We are 2 students. We are coming next month in Munchen for a language course at sprachboerse and to see Germany. We are going to stay near the Nordfriedhof station. What can you tell us about the neighborhood and the area? Does someone know something about this school that we have chosen? There were two posts here but they were pretty old. Do we have any chance to eat in the mensa? Is there a mensa close to Reutkreutzplatz? I've read some of the posts here, so we learned some basic stuff about the town. Is 500 a month enough for food and transportation? Why is there a difference between the student cards? I and II?? Is it really more practical to use the bike ?

Thank you very much for your understanding! And if there are any posts that contain the answer to our questions( that we probably missed) please feel free to post them here.

Others might disagree, but i'd say 500euro/month should be fine if you're not paying for lodging and not expecting to eat 9 course meals.
Depending on where you're staying versus where you're planning on hanging out a bike could be helpful, but it depends where you are and what type of public transport ticket you are planning on using. (if going by paying each time you use it then a bike would be good, but if you're getting a monthly ticket then you can use transport whenever you'd like so then a bike is more personal preference).
