South African moms in Berlin

Howzit! Hello!

I've been living here since February and thanks to this forum, I've made really great friends. Thank you TT!

But I've not met a single SA fellowman since ===I left SA. So if there are any stay-at-home mums, mums in general who would like to meet me please drop a line.I'm also looking for some SA goodies...not really fussy just as long as I can have a little "jol of a time!"

You've already seen this Mums and bumps, weekly meeting in Berlin, I presume? There are lots of English-speaking mums out there wanting to socialise. I don't think that there are that many South Africans in Berlin, but you can find some at the South African club, they meet on the last Thursday evening of the month (from 19h30) at the boat (Eastern Comfort Lounge, Mühlenstr. 73-77) - that is, there is a meeting tomorrow evening!

Unfortunately since South African Wine and Biltong has closed down it is difficult to get South African goodies in Berlin. Sometimes Karstadt/Galaria Kaufhof has specials, so watch out for them. I've found a place where one can order biltong online, the biltong is fine, although I didn't think much of the droewors. Not dry enough, too fatty.

Yes, I'm aware of the Mums and Bumps and am already attending a playgroup each Tuesady at the Haus de Familie.
