Hi ya, This is a great site! Enjoying having a read through and getting a feel for what Munich is like. I did a search on places/districts to live, but wondered if anyone could give some advice/tips on nice locations to live that are not far from Putzbrunn? We are a couple in our 30s with no children... Why Putzbrunn? Not a lot out here. The Bus service has just been improved though so it's not completely isolated any more. A car is all but essential though. Somewhere like Ottobrunn... I do not know where Putzbrunn is. But I could recommend two places which is nice to live. Gern(U1) and Partanchplatz(U6). For both of these two places I had lived in for some times.Nice,quiet,easy... It's only just Munich. Just inside...

Hello, It's my birthday on Friday. My boyfriend's parents are throwing me a grill party. I know it's my birthday, but was wondering if I should take a small present for them anyways? like flowers or a nice coffee table book? Thanks for your help!... a plant in a nice pot, or else a bottle of wine? it's a nice idea to give them a small gift if they're throwing a party for you!... Don't give a plant in a pot. That's considered bad style in Germany. Prefer a bouquet. Flowers are withered after some days. Plants in a pot will last. It's terrible if you get... Go the whole hog and tell em you are pregnant and that the present will be there in 9 months... I'm with Moonboot, go for a nice bottle of wine… that way...

Gits, hate them... Could you see him coming before you started to overtake the parked cars? If so you should have stopped to let him through.
