Anh Ky is an Asian restaurant where the menu covers Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. It is really, well, distinctly average. And even the locals, easily-pleased as they are, seem to have noticed; they're not exactly lining-up outside waiting to get in. So why is Uncle Admetus bothering to write it up? The phở bo (7.90), that poster-child of Vietnamese cuisine, is actually, surprisingly, astonishingly, very, very good. So, ignore the siren-call of the large sushi posters hanging on the walls, imagine that you're not really the only customer there, shut your ears to the cringingly bad asian pop wafting from the speakers, and enjoy a little taste of Vietnam in a bowl. But hurry: I get the feeling this little place will not remain open for very long.
