As today is the day we should enjoy having a good scare, and where I come from light some big fires!, I thought it might be nice if people posted images from what they think are some of the scariest horrors in film.

So here are two to start it off...

Still scares the shit out of me once that music starts! "Halloween" 1978

Great Japanese horror, Ringu 1998(the ring). Remade by Hollywood as they thought it was too frightening for people to watch.

I liked the new one!!! Johnny Depp does a great Michael Jackson impersonation, absolutely hilarious. And the Oompa-Loompas aren't scary at all, the kids are.

i love the new one and think it's hilarious!

i'm not one to talk about scary movies. i get creeped out easily. even the creepy guy (don't remember his name) in The DaVinci Code (the one who murdered and he's all pale) creeped me out last night!

edit- agree 100% with Sarabyrd's above comment

I was walking home the other night, very late (and sober) and gave myself the greatest spook, by starting to think about the Movie Halloween, the leaves on the ground, a light wind, I expected to see Jamie Lee Curtis and Micheal running down the street.

i seem to remember a Halloween film with a song about Silver Shamrocks and kiddies halloween masks that turned the kids evil or something. Anyone remember exactly which film that was?

Are you kidding?! All the oompa loompas in the new version were clones of the same guy. If having a bunch of orange, cloned midgets running around, singing songs isn't scary then I don't know what is :o

Nevermind the cloned part. I find midgets kinda spooky anyways- much less loads of them running around singing.

Edit: I still think "Psycho" was one of the scariest movies ever.

I don't think it was a cloned midget, they did it all with angles and distances.

Very few films actually 'scare' me, most traditional horror films are just laughable, but this one did:

and the Ring was a bit much with that freaky kid and the girl with the long dark hair...ugh.

I watched Saw in my hotel room last night. Excellent movie. I might just go and buy Saw 3 from the DVD shop across the road after work.

Blimeygirl...I am with you. The Changling was so well done, and the acting is great. Scary without any blood shed.
