Viewing Russian graffiti in the Reichstag

Good evening all

I'm going to be in Berlin for a couple of days this weekend and I'd like to see the Russian grafitti in the Reichstag

Does anyone know if this is possible? If it is can you just roll up or do you have to book?

The Bundestag website is very informative about getting up to the Dome but I did that a few years back but I couldn't figure out if there was public access elsewhere

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Steve

For that you require the guided tour, rather than the much simpler visit to the dome. It requires advanced booking and minimum sizes (unless your German is good), moreso than the dome, and thus will probably be not possible on short notice.

Thanks Kanadisch, that's a shame.

I can speak a little German but unless the tour is limited to ordering food and two return rail tickets to Regensberg I might struggle lol

I took a boat tour in Berlin and one could see bullit holes along the walls. I asked my guide if they were remnants from the Battle of Berlin , he wouldnt answer. He later came back and said if you want to see stuff like that go to the dome where the russians had signed their names. When we went to the Dome a few days later , just for the hell of it, we saw bullit holes all along the wall. No names though, not that i actually looked though.

I always found it odd he didnt want to answer the original question though.

Reminds me of one of my Reichstag tours where we did actually see this graffiti.

The guy who showed us around had taken a group of Russian schoolkids around and shown them the graffiti, then asked them what they thought.

"Ah yes", said one, "It reminds me of the toilet walls in our school in St Petersburg."

With Socialist apologies, Comrade Perdidov. I shall duly punish myself with the sharp end of a Katyusha.

Katyushas? Ha! If you revisionistic dogs don't stop with your tsaristic and Socialism-slandering hate speech immediately I'm going to get my Sturmovik and shower some hot PTAB love on your class-enemist asses. Uraaa
