Right then,

I came across this story this morning and simply can't make head nor tail of it.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/nov/20/john-mcafee-dont-see-myself-as-paranoid

He seems to have gone from ex-mil Lockheed Martin employee to a Dennis Hopper character in Apocalypse Now.

Fascinating story.

Well hats off to him. It's no easy feat pretending to be a drunk German tourist.

just wondering what exactly he did to pass himself off as a "drunk German tourist". Wasn't he digging a hole in the sand. Well that's ok for starters. What else do you have to do to pass it off convincingly.. Maybe he was wearing white socks with sandals.. and a hawaiian holiday shirt?

It should be noted that John McAfee, sold/left the company (The Antivirus Company) way back in 1994

and hasn't had anything to do with it since..

So what? Doesn't change the fact that he founded the company and that it still bears his name.

He did, and it does. Its also helps to have a bit more detailed info so people don't still think he runs the company.

Just checked it and it looks fine to me, maybe there was a temporary server problem?

Update: Fugitive McAfee arrested in Guatemala

John McAfee, the founder of anti-virus software maker McAfee, has been arrested in Guatemala, accused of entering the country illegally. He crossed the border to seek political asylum, having been on the run in Belize where police are investigating the death of his neighbour. (...)

Belize officials said the software pioneer was a "person of interest" in the murder of Florida businessman Gregory Faull on 11 November. Mr McAfee has protested his innocence.

Guatemalan Interior Minister Mauricio Lopez Bonilla said Mr McAfee was arrested at a hotel in an affluent area of the capital, Guatemala City.

He was on the run so long because they only chose to do a Quick Scan. Only when they blocked all ports did they get him.

Am I the only one who expects to hear him say something along the lines of "So, Mr. Bond, we meet again, and for the last time I'm afraid for you..."
