If you're thinking of voting, here is a link to help you register to vote and request for your absentee ballot. It was an easy and smooth process, so have a look if you're planning to vote in November!

Let's make our votes count for a "better tomorrow, tomorrow"! ;P

Yes -- I was just doing a search to see if this had been posted -- well done!

There's also great non-partisan info on the issues at: www.votesmart.org

I do not know if that independent site aggregates data for use in some other way. I registered to vote with the Secretary of State at this website: http://www.fvap.gov

This site guarantees not to collect the info given.

@lmosdal - I was also looking, and couldn't find any posts last week! I am hoping the link will make it easier for people who wants to register to vote before it's too late. Also, if people are interested, I watched the Republican Convention on PBS.org last week, and just saw the Democratic Convention yesterday! Check it out if you have some time to kill!

@AlexTr - I didn't even think about it, so thank you very much! Thank you also for providing the website that guarantees NOT to collect our personal info!

Hey there,

Thanks for posting this thread. I became a US citizen last month, registered to vote in my State right after the ceremony in the US.

Now, I'm in EU (indefinitely, and I'm not sure about how to proceed.

Just request a ballot as some living abroad and that's it?

I'm not registered at the US embassy yet...

Thanks for any info.

So to vote absentee I needed both the FPCA *and* the FWAB. Both easily available from http://www.fvap.gov/. Our deputy county clerk emailed me to let me know I'd left out the FPCA, so I'm going to print, sign, scan, and email it as an attachment and I'll be fine. Good thing I started early!

Hi Gen,

Thanks for the info. Sorry for the über late reply I haven't been around for a while.

Yes, I did vote using the Absentee Ballot.

Thanks again ;-)
