IT contract jobs in Oracle

Why are there no highly paid 'gravy train' IT contracts in Oracle in Munich?

I used to earn a fortune there with Siemens. Money for old rope. Now there's nothing there!

Probably due to others flooding over here, and doing the job cheaper.

Many call centres have now been moved to India for this very reason.

Is there *any* IT work about in Munich apart from SAP?

I tried looking at mySAP but sort of lost the will to live.

Here are some contract positions in Munich.

Eagle, not for you mate as I'm sure you've checked them already.

The problem could be specialising in products rather than technologies. Instead of being an Oracle guru be a database guru. Or a type of application guru perhaps cos how many projects these days require only skills for a specific product? Guess the same applies for SAP. Flexibility really, its like a "nail hammerer" or a "pine sawer" looking for work when the market needs carpenters.

@keydeck Good site. Makes me wish I was allowed to do independant contracting (well without having to sneak around and be sly about it anyway).

Jobserve is one of the most useful out there for European (and some worldwide) IT contracts (and permie positions) for English speakers. I've used others here such as jobpilot.de, monster.de and gulp.de but tend to come back to Jobserve most regularly.

My area is Telecoms Billing and it can be particularly useful for that corner of the playing field.

Of course you get the usual shit of multiple agents posting the same job and agents posting jobs which don't exist just to collect CVs but you get that on all job sites. On the whole I'd recommend it.

Thx Keydeck, useful filtering tip!

Probably 2 jobs I can apply for there, and I'm thinking about getting stuck into .NET while I'm 'resting'.

I agree about jobserve, I got a bit tired of going thru monster, jobpilot etc. although gulp does come up with stuff from time to time.

Right, time to work on the CV...

Swing? yeah, natch! ;)

Just a little update on this tale of woe. As of the beginning of December, the_eagle climbed back aboard the gravy train in Munich. Choo-choo!
