"This video is unavailable from your location"

I'm getting this when trying to load The Daily Show and The Colbert Report...someone tell me this is a bug somewhere and that Comedy Central seriously did not cave into this bullshit.

Really.

This happened before and it came back a little while later but yes, it appears to be unavailable at the moment.

I just did the following and it works perfectly...

If you are using Firefox, install the following addon. http://addons.mozill...refox/addon/967

Then:

1) In Firefox, Go to tools->modify headers.

2) From the drop down box on the left select add.

3) Then enter: "X-Forwarded-For" in the first input box without the quotation marks

4) Enter: "12.13.14.15" in the second input box without the quotation marks.

5) Leave the last input box empty, and save the filter, and enable it.

6) Click the "Options" tab on the right then proceed to check the 'always on' button.

Close the Modify Headers box and it should work.

I'm having the almost the same problem. I tried installing the Firefox Add-on, but that didn't work. I don't get a message that the videos aren't viewable from my area, I just get a blank screen. None of the videos on the Daily Show's website work for me. I noticed that this happened right around the time I updated flash player.

Anyone have any ideas?

Keydeck's tip worked well for me in Firefox (with my Mac).

Does anyone know what the main reason it stopped working was? Viacom? Copyright issue? Flash player? What does the Add-on fix?

I'm sure they'll find a way to blame Obama.

The Daily Show was streaming fine for me last night - I was prepared to install the plug-in as set forth above but it was unnecessary.

Anyone else notice the 3mins of commercials they're now running during TDS? Fancy. :/

Yeah, that's new and annoying. No way to skip them as far as I can tell. I think there are three 3-minute commercial breaks per show, which seems excessive.

What's the story with the subtitles which recently started appearing on The Daily Show? They seem to be being written by someone with only a very high level grasp of English. Is 'The Local' diversifying?

Actually this may be useful; I use the streaming site: "tubeplus.me" It has all the current US TV shows, including the Daily Show/Colbert Report, and no advertisements!!

Not noticed any of that, but watched it last 2 weeks ago

Edit: And still working and looking as ever. Use NoScript and just allow the minimum number to get the video playing

In case anyone's got Sky but hadn't noticed, TDS is back. It's on the comedy central channel.
