What do you call some of the most unlucky people in Britain?

Justin Case, Barb Dwyer and Stan Still.

It sounds like a bad joke, but a study has revealed that there really are unfortunate people with those names in the UK.

Sometimes even normal names in a certain context can sound a bit iffy, such as the cricket commentary during a game between the West Indies and England some years back:

Commentator: "The batsmen's Holding, the bowler's Willy"

Not sure about unfortunate names, more like unfortunate parents!

A young boy named Adolf Hitler, who attracted national attention when a local supermarket refused to make a birthday cake with his name on it, has been taken away from his parents by authorities, according to a local website.

LehighValleyLive.com reports that Adolf and his sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation, 1, and 8-month-old Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, were removed from their home by New Jersey's Division of Youth and Family Services.

I've heard of a gynaecologist called Harry C Beaver.

There is an OB/GYN right here in Stuttgart with the unfortunate, yet highly appropriate, name of Dr. Muff...

I worked in a call centre as a student, where we came across a few memorable names.

On one particular project, there was a man called 'Rusty Kuntz', whom none of us was willing to call for fear of uncontrollable laughter...

I went to high school with a Peter Piper III.

Yes, his father was the II, and grandfather the I.

Why they kept the name in the family, I will never know.

Michael Hunt insists that he never be called Mike.

I actually know a Mike Hunt. Not Michael, Mike.

I can confirm this! He has his practice in northern Virginia and was in the booklet of approved doctors by my company's HMO when I worked in Rockville, Md. There was an article interviewing his two daughters, both Beavers btw, about their father and you can find it on the net.

Know a guy called Richard Head.

He used to greet people with a firm handshake, stare in the eye and say "Hi. I'm Dick Head" and then just dare them to laugh..

Had a similar one, I went to school with a Richard Large, who for unknown reasons electively chose to go by the shortened version, Dick. The sad thing was, he was actually Dick Large III, as his grandfather and father both chose to pass the fun on.

Three generations of roll call for Large, Dick(s)...
