We have had threads and polls and topics in the past on German beers, best beers, where to get foreign beers etc etc etc. but there are so many TT members now, and alot of them have been won over to the drinking of weissbier, as I certainly have, and I'd like a view on peoples Weissbier tastes. 10 years ago, I hated it, but now I love the stuff, but at the same time still find Erdinger to be completely rubbish. For me, its normally Paulaner, it must be said, but as I sent them about 3,000,000 tokens for some offer about 3 months ago, and have not heard back, so I might well have to change my brew in protest. Whats your tipple?

You forgot Unertl. I don't drink Weissbier much anymore though but I like to have a taste every now and then.

Good poll Don, its Hacker Pschorr for me. But how the hell does one say the name?

First time I tried a Weissbier I thought it looked like the cloudy home brew I used to make out of kits when I was 17!

Erdinger is the dregs.

Augustiner for me. I think it's way above the others list above. Next would be Andechs but that's not as common. I like Augustiner better because the Andechs has a lot more pronounced citrus flavor.

For a Weiss Würst Breakfast, Ayinger goes down a treat. Otherwise Franziskaner

I was brought up on Erdinger which I still really enjoy. Brings back many happy memories (Well OK, they are a bit fuzzy but you get the jist)...

Franziskaner gets my vote as well

mr riina sir, not for me to complain but...

you forgot UNERTL ! which not only tastes yummy but as it doesnt ship well is real "local" bier. its also bio apparently. a must for every weissbier person.

you also forgot SCHNEIDERWEISSE, which for historical reasons should be included. in fact it should be grtho's first bier of choice. Herr Schneider was the first man to brew Weissbier in munich outside of the royal court! fcking communist or what...

Without a doubt the best weißbier is...Gutmann's. If you haven't tried it, then you haven't tasted a true weißbier.
