But If you want to discuss ethics, on the other hand. If the AOK found some excuse not to hold up their end of the deal(in what ever circumstances) I am pretty sure they would not be suffering the same (if any) consequences at all.
Some of this info looks useful so thanks. I even would not have a problem with paying a fine if they had gone about it in the right way but we really had no idea until now. 600 euros was more than we had to last the whole month since my girlfriend will now not work until after the birth.
anyway the point is that when we got letters about the unruly daughter the letters were delivered and after she did it more than once the last letter was delivered by hand to the door. This letter said we had to go and sort it out. and we did, no more problems it was also nowhere near 600 euros. the way this was dealt with was in no way the same. I guess we just have to speak to a lawyer.
Actually we just called them today. it was not about the daughter that letter was delivered by hand. They have now given a different date of when it was. 2009 and said that if the letter did not come its not their problem they only sometimes send it registered and we wont get the money back. we actually spoke to a post women in the street about the letters and she said there is cases where they get lost because they are only sent registered if the authorities consider it important.
I think ´notdeadyet' seems to have hit the nail on the head though: ´I don't give a shit whether someone got caught schwatzfahren.. €600 is obsessive.
