    Man

It's been raining like this yesterday and today and don't really feel like going out, but its boring to stay at home all day.

This is my last week here because I gotta fly out on Saturday. So I'll come tonight for the last time and say goodbye.

If I hurt anyone's feeling in the past please don't hold it against me, I didn't mean any of it. I have a nasty tendency of saying stuff that normal people would find offensive while I am completely unaware of it.

You can't just stay for slightly under 3 months, leave and return 2 weeks later. The rule is 90 days in a 180 day period. That means you have to stay out for 3 more months if coming as a tourist.

Unless your study doesn't take longer than 3 months, in that case you wouldn't need a visa.

According to the German Institute in Taipei, a stay with a Residence Permit (Aufthanhaltserlaubnis) is considered a "national stay" and therefore doesn't count towards the 90 day Schengen stay. However they did say that you may have to validate that stay by leaving and re-entering. Furthermore they said Germany requires you to validate your stay by leaving and re-entering.

There isn't any "Mac compatible external hard drives" out there... they all work, as long as you format it for a mac...

Although Mac OS can only read from a NTFS partition...

Do you need to install an operating system, or just download software?

You don't need a mac to download mac software... only to install it.

    I get it...

I do mean stores (not necessarily operated by Apple) that sells Apple products, and are authorized apple dealer and warranty center... does places like MediaMarkt do this?

There isn't any listed in Taiwan but there are many Apple Stores here, they are not operated by Apple but rather a third party who sells Apple products authorized by apple for things like warranty too.

Is there any Apple Stores in Berlin? I do not mean MediaMarkt or Saturn that sells Apple products, but actual Apple Stores that sells only Apple products. I need to know in case I need warranty related service in Berlin... or does MediaMarkt also handle warranty services for Apple?

I do Chinese to English translation, and I don't have certification nor do companies ask for them. There are some companies who asks for credentials but most of them are government type work. The nice thing about translation however is that there are no geographical limits, you can do them anywhere in the world since most of these are done online.

I can't be sure but from what I've read, that falls under those who are inadmissible to the USA, so that means unless a wavier is approved (which is very hard since it requires "extreme hardship") the alien would not be allowed in the US.

I also look forward to not having to meet all kinds of requirements but in every country there are those who basically do not want any outsider in the country, who are often a vocal minority. Thus the various requirements that makes sure only the elite class of often third world countries can immigrate or gain admission, leading to perceived problems with foreigners not integrating.

Under the Residence act, you are only a "must" deport if you have been sentenced for 3 years of drug charge, 2 years of "civil disobedience" (could mean shoplifting, violence, etc.), or alien smuggling. As far as I can see, you have to do something really bad to get more than 2 years of jail time like kill someone. Since there are absolutely no danger of imprisonment, I wouldn't worry about it.

There are also a "can deport" for those who may be a danger to Germany... but again (depending on how they interpret it) I highly doubt shoplifting makes you a danger to Germany.

That's assuming that you're even found guilty.

This conviction would be a problem for entry into the USA however if you are not a US citizen... as it falls under "Crime involving moral turpitude".
