Mömax is Munich's newest furniture superstore. It opened on Thursday. I was there on Saturday and it's great! Lots and lots of good stuff, all reasonably priced. Mömax is on the Euro Industrie Park in Freimann, north side of Munich. What's even better is that there are two more furniture superstores immediately adjacent: Hess and Möbelix. If you're in the market for new furniture, Euroindustriepark is the place to go! There's also a Wal-Mart and Mediamarkt there. Take the U6 north to Kieferngarten, or the U2 to Am Hart. There's a free shuttle bus from the U-Bahn.

The bus, although not operated by the MVV, is of the same type used by the MVV. Thus, if you'd consider the the city center MVV buses as being pushchair suitable, then so is this one.
There is a free shuttle bus, but watch the times, it does not run very often (I think every 40 Minutes), and it stops running relatively early, and then you are stuck with taking a bus back to Münchner Freiheit.
popped in the other day and it has the same layout as IKEA, little arrows pointing you this way or that. same bargain-priced furtniture and accesoires as the swedish chain. difference is, someone bags your goodies for you and they chose lime green as their stores color. saves many the trip to erding if on the north. those in south, just head to taufkirchen to ikea, not worth fighting the city traffic to get there.
I totally agree with the last post. I was there today to check it out, and it is like a smaller version of IKEA. Some of the stuff they sell there is exactly the same too. I'd suggest checking it out if you're in the area but I won't make an extra trip there again.
This coming Saturday is the last day of their opening sale. Many of the items still have up to a third off.
I purchased a coffee table from Mömax a few months ago. Quite a lot of the furniture looked pretty shoddy in my opinion (€100 for a wobbly table, €180 for a wardrobe where the doors were a distinctly different shade of wood from the body, etc) but I found a coffee table that I rather liked.
I took it home and assembled it, getting as far as the final step. There's a glass shelf in the centre supported by four pieces sticking out of the wooden frame, but one of the four pieces was missing. They were in a packet of their own, so I didn't even open it: it was clear that one was missing.
Not wanting to traipse all the way back to Munich because of one small piece of metal, I posted the packet back with a letter explaining the situation and asking for the necessary part. After a month, no reply. So I wrote again. Again no reply. To this day, I haven't even had an acknowledgment of my letters, never mind the actual piece I need.
Their attempts to copy IKEA are in my opinion quite embarrassing (even the bags are the same, albeit a different colour), but if you want to copy IKEA properly then you also need at adopt the Scandinavian levels of customer service, rather than the German ones.
Given that I've since seen the same coffee table for sale in a proper furniture shop for €20 less, my advice would be to avoid paying extra for bad service and shop somewhere other than Mömax.
