All this week the Munich Open Tennis Championship is taking place at the Munich Tennis Club. This is a mens only tournament with around 24 professional players competing. Normally there are a few big names in town. Last year Tim Henman was here, as was Roger Federer (2003's winner). This year, however, there seem to be fewer stars. Goran Ivanisevic is the only name on the list I recognise. Tickets are from 16 Euros (munichticket.de). If you want Goran's autograph, try hanging around outside the courts: Aumeisterweg 10, north end of the English Gardens, near Studentenstadt. Or check out one of the Tennis parties which are going on in town this week, like this one at Lenbach Palais.
