I think I already did ask this question, but can´t find the post.

My husband is planing to open a Ltd. either in Canada or in England. It would be a company that provides all renovations (painting, flooring, etc.)

In germany you need to have a Meisterbrief in order to open a painting company. is this also a case if you open a "Niederlassung "of Ltd in Germany???

Does it make any difference if the Ltd. is from Canada or England.
Where can I get exact information?
Thanks

Is Work permits - validity across job changes the one or No self-employment for Canadians in Germany? Self-employed in Germany may also be a help

The following links also provide information which will be useful:

Roadmap to starting a company (PDF document)
Starting business in Germany
Here's one on the opening of a Niederlassung.

Each of the above site provides further links and references which will help get what you need to know.

You should also contact the Canadian Embassy as they should be able to provide specific details on stuff directly related to your situation.

I read it all but the problem with "Meisterbrief" is not mentioned. Maybe I should ask bei IHK
